Hoxton Hall building works...

30 March 2011

Hoxton Hall is undergoing renovation works as part of London Borough of Hackney’s youth strategy to become the creative and cultural youth hub. This will be funded by the Department of Education My Place scheme.

The grade II* listed music hall and adjoining arts centre dates from 1863: the last major building works were in 1977 and it is now in need of large scale renewal to fulfil our role within the community. The works, planned to take place between September 2011 and April 2012, are part of a bigger master plan for Hoxton Hall, and focus on:

Access - New entrance, reception, external signage and lighting, a wheelchair accessible lift and more toilets to increase our capacity from 120 to 250

Education - Refurbishment of visual art studio, music rooms, rehearsal rooms, kitchen and cafe
