Hoxton Hall Youth Arts department are pleased to announce our Summer Holiday Programme, we will be running a jam packed summer holiday programme full of fun filled creative FREE activities for young people ages 7-10 and 11-19. Each week will end with a sharing to friends and family.

We look forward to having you here at Hoxton Hall for a fun filled Summer from Monday 22nd July to  Friday 23rd August

Week 1: 22 July – 26 July

Performing Arts

 

  • 7-10 yrs:  A week of drama, singing and dancing activities
  • 11-19yrs : Spoken word and performance technique workshops, devising and performing with experienced writer and director Lill Warren.

Week 2: 29 July – 2 August

 

  • 7-10yrs, Drama: Hoxton Hall joins Voicebox for a week long drama project exploring what it means to be a girl, and what it means to be a boy within society. The young people will use a range of exciting activities including: drama, dance, creative writing and music, to explore our themes and create an impressive performance for all to enjoy.
  • 11-19yrs, Make your own Music Video: Working with Blueprint film to design, shoot and edit your very own video clip.

Week 3: 5 – 9 August

 

  • 7-10yrs, Theatre Fun: Follow Pip and come with us to explore Victorian London, when urchins ruled the streets and rats as big as dogs would roam free, through Pip’s own words and music of the time. From 5th – 9th August, join a musical re-imagining of Dickens’ most beloved story, in workshops led by Florence Taylor (Free Theatre UK) and Joseph Cummings (RSC Matilda).
  • 11-19yrs, Make your own Music Video: Working with Blueprint film to design, shoot and edit your very own video clip.

Week 4: 12 – 16 August

 

  • 7-10yrs, Music: Learning signing skills and musical instruments with a group performance at the end of the week.
  • 11-19yrs, 1 story, 3 endings: Perform in a play and create its finale at this acting, singing and story-telling workshop based on Forum Theatre techniques.

Week 5: 19 Aug – Fri 23rd Aug 10:30am 3:30pm

Carnival!

 

  • 7-10 yrs: Work with a professional carnival artist making carnival costumes and learning carnival dance routines.
  • 11-19 yrs: Work with a professional carnival artist making carnival costumes and learning carnival dance routines

 

PLEASE NOTE: Spaces are limited for each week , you must register in advance. Just tick which weeks you wish to attend. Due to popular demand we can NOT guarantee that we can offer a place on all weeks requested.
