Love Letters: A Valentine’s Concert – Fourth Choir

Friday 17th February | 20:00

The Fourth Choir, London’s LGBT+ a cappella choir, marks Valentine’s Day with a celebration of the most powerful emotion of all – love!  Choral masterpieces from the Renaissance on the subject of love will be sung side-by-side with modern arrangements of contemporary pop.

The music will be interspersed with readings of love letters from famous same-sex couples of the past – Oscar Wilde in triumph and despair; Vita Sackville-West’s disarming declaration of love to Virginia Woolf; and Tchaikovsky having a wild night out in Paris.

Music by Vaughan Williams, Prince and the Mamas and the Papas.

The Fourth Choir will be conducted by its Artistic Director, the charismatic Dominic Peckham.
