Working with young people in London has been at the core of Hoxton Hall’s activities for over 150 years. Today, young people still remain a core focus of our activity. We offer unique creative learning and employment opportunities for children and young people.

Our activities explore a wide range of art forms including; music, drama, dance and visual arts.

To find out about the current activities available for young people look at our youth arts page here

All our activities are free for children and young people age 7-19 (up to 21 with additional needs).

Our Youth Arts offer is at the heart of everything we do. Hoxton Hall is at the centre of the creative community in Hoxton and the wider Hackney creative community, the most exciting and diverse of its kind in London. We offer a diverse range of activities for young people aged 7 to 19, welcoming those of any ability to get involved. We offer classes include art, dance, drama, music and theatre. We also run a school holiday programme. All our activities for young people are completely free, a resource we believe is unique and vital.

We house fully facilitated music rooms and recording space, fantastic rehearsal rooms, dance studio, meeting rooms, and art studio, plus an adjoining creative industry workspace, Hoxton Works, an innovative and charitable revenue helping to support our creative output. We are the only venue in London to offer free, high quality classes and projects in drama, dance, music, visual arts, and sport, for young people between the ages of 7 and 19 years old.

We work together with Young Hackney to provide resources for young people to enjoy themselves and become independent and successful adults. Young Hackney is run by young people with the support of Hackney Council. They are passionate about providing opportunities, support and guidance, and promoting youth participation, understanding and resources. Youth Hackney staff work in small teams called Young Hackney units. They run activities for young people and offer advice and support to those in need, on subjects including education, employment, housing and health. Our collaboration with Young Hackney helps support this by providing a platform for young people to think, discuss and create, and make their voice heard.
